Day 1 — Nairobi → Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart Nairobi early morning (7:00 AM) and drive northwest into the Great Rift Valley. Stop briefly at the Rift Valley escarpment viewpoint
for panoramic views. Arrive Lake Nakuru National Park by mid-morning
and check in to your lodge for lunch. Afternoon game drive along the
alkaline lakeshore — witness spectacular concentrations of flamingos and pelicans, and look out for white and black rhinos, lions, leopards, hippos, and the rare Rothschild's giraffe. Sundowner drinks at the lodge. Overnight Lake Nakuru
Day 2 — Lake Nakuru → Maasai Mara National Reserve
Early breakfast game drive inside Lake Nakuru National Park before check-out. Drive southwest to the Maasai Mara National Reserve
(approx. 3.5 hours), crossing through the scenic Rift Valley floor and
Maasai pastoral lands. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon
game drive into the Mara — the reserve is home to one of the densest concentrations of wildlife on Earth,
including lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffalo, and hippos.
The vast open plains and rolling golden grasslands are breathtaking.
Overnight Maasai Mara.
Day 3 — Full Day Maasai Mara National Reserve
Full day in the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Spend the morning searching for lion prides, leopards, and cheetah families — the Mara consistently delivers some of the best big cat sightings in Africa. In the afternoon, head to the Mara River where, in season (July–October), massive herds of wildebeest and zebra make their dramatic river crossings braving crocodiles in the swirling waters below. Visit a Maasai village (optional) at sunset. Overnight Maasai Mara.
Day 4 — Full Day Maasai Mara National Reserve
Another full day exploring the Mara ecosystem. Consider an optional hot air balloon safari
at dawn (own cost) — drifting silently over the plains as the sun rises
over thousands of animals below. A truly unforgettable experience.
Morning and afternoon game drives cover different areas of the reserve
including the Mara Triangle and the sand river circuits. Keep watch for wild dogs, hyena clans, and the famous Marsh Pride lions. Overnight Maasai Mara.
Day 5 — Maasai Mara → Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
After an early breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and drive south towards the Tanzania border at Isebania/Sirari. Complete border formalities and cross into Tanzania. Continue south into the northern Serengeti National Park,
arriving at your lodge by early afternoon. The Serengeti and the Mara
form one continuous ecosystem — as you cross the border the landscapes
remain spectacular. Afternoon game drive in the Serengeti — spot lions
resting on rocky kopjes, herds of elephants, and the ever-present
wildebeest. Overnight Serengeti.
Day 6 — Full Day Serengeti National Park
Full day exploring the heart of the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. The Seronera Valley
— the central Serengeti — is one of Africa's best year-round game
viewing areas, with a permanent river attracting enormous concentrations
of predators and prey. Look out for lions, leopards draped over acacia trees, cheetahs on termite mounds, spotted hyenas, jackals, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebra. The Serengeti is also exceptional for birdlife with over 500 species recorded. Evening game drive at golden hour. Overnight Serengeti.
Day 7 — Serengeti → Seronera Airstrip
Final morning game drive in the Serengeti at
sunrise — the best time to catch predators still active from their
night hunts. Return to camp for breakfast and check-out. Transfer to Seronera Airstrip in time for your scheduled departure flight. End of safari services. Onwards to your next destination.
