Day 1 — Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi and settle into your hotel. In the morning, visit the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage (open 11am daily) to meet rescued elephant calves. After lunch, head to the Giraffe Centre to hand-feed the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. In the afternoon, explore the Nairobi National Museum
or browse the Maasai Market for crafts and souvenirs. Evening at
leisure — enjoy dinner at one of Nairobi's excellent restaurants.
Overnight Nairobi.
Day 2 — Nairobi → Lake Nakuru National Park
After an early breakfast, depart Nairobi by 7:00 AM. Stop at the Great Rift Valley escarpment viewpoint
for sweeping panoramas across the valley floor. Arrive Lake Nakuru
National Park by mid-morning, check in to your lodge, and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive along the lakeshore —
witness thousands of flamingos and pelicans, and look out for white rhinos, lions, leopards, hippos, and the rare Rothschild's giraffe. The park's euphorbia forest ridges offer stunning elevated views. Sundowner drinks at the lodge. Overnight Lake Nakuru.
Day 3 — Lake Nakuru → Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Rise early for a sunrise game drive inside
Lake Nakuru National Park — predators are most active at dawn. After
breakfast and check-out, drive approximately 2 hours north to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
on the Laikipia Plateau, with Mount Kenya visible on the horizon.
Arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon, set out on a game drive to
encounter Fatu and Najin, the last two northern white
rhinos on Earth, as well as black rhinos, elephants, lions, cheetahs,
buffalo, and African wild dogs. Optional evening visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Bush dinner around the campfire. Overnight Ol Pejeta.
Day 4 — Ol Pejeta → Nairobi
Final sunrise game drive across Ol Pejeta's
open plains — often the best game drive of the trip, with cheetahs
frequently spotted hunting at dawn. Return to camp for brunch and
check-out. Depart for Nairobi (approx. 3.5 hours via Nyeri and Thika).
Arrive Nairobi mid-afternoon. Transfer to your hotel or JKIA for onward
travel. End of safari services.
