Day 1 โ Nairobi โ Samburu National Reserve
Depart Nairobi early morning (6:30 AM) and
drive north through the Kenyan highlands and arid lowlands towards
Samburu (approx. 5โ6 hours via Nanyuki). Arrive at your lodge in time
for lunch overlooking the Ewaso Ng'iro River. After
lunch, embark on your first afternoon game drive in Samburu โ one of
Kenya's most unique ecosystems. Begin searching for the famous Samburu Special Five:
reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and
gerenuk. Elephants are also commonly seen drinking at the river.

Day 2 โ Full Day Samburu National Reserve
Full day exploring Samburu with morning and
afternoon game drives. The reserve's semi-arid landscape is home to a
remarkable diversity of wildlife adapted to dry conditions. Morning
drive along the Ewaso Ng'iro riverbanks โ excellent for leopards lounging in riverine trees, large crocodiles, and elephants. Look out for lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, and buffalo on the open plains. Afternoon drive into the reserve's interior scrublands. Optional guided bush walk with armed ranger (own cost). Sundowner drinks at the riverbank. Overnight Samburu.
Day 3 โ Samburu โ Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Early morning game drive before breakfast and check-out. Drive south from Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy on the Laikipia Plateau (approx. 3 hours via Nanyuki), with stunning views of Mount Kenya
en route. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, set
out on a game drive across Ol Pejeta's open grasslands โ home to lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, cheetahs, and African wild dogs. The conservancy holds the largest population of black rhinos in East Africa. Optional evening visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary (own cost). Overnight Ol Pejeta.
Day 4 โ Full Day Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Full day at Ol Pejeta with morning and afternoon game drives. The highlight of any visit here is a guided encounter with Fatu and Najin
โ the last two northern white rhinos on Earth, under 24-hour armed
guard. A deeply moving and unforgettable conservation experience.
Morning game drive covers the western plains, excellent for cheetah sightings and wild dog packs.
Afternoon drive explores the Ol Pejeta River circuit and the Nene
plains. The conservancy's diverse habitats make every drive different.

Day 5 โ Ol Pejeta โ Lake Nakuru National Park
Morning game drive at Ol Pejeta before breakfast and check-out. Drive west to Lake Nakuru National Park
in the Great Rift Valley (approx. 2 hours). Check in to your lodge and
enjoy lunch. Afternoon game drive along the lake circuit โ witness the
spectacular sight of thousands of lesser and greater flamingos lining the alkaline shoreline, alongside pelicans and over 450 bird species. Look out for white and black rhinos, lions, leopards, hippos, and the park's iconic Rothschild's giraffe. Sundowner at the lodge. Overnight Lake Nakuru.
Day 6 โ Lake Nakuru โ Nairobi
Final sunrise game drive inside Lake Nakuru
National Park โ the early morning light over the lake and flamingos is
spectacular for photography. Return to lodge for breakfast and
check-out. Drive back to Nairobi (approx. 2.5 hours). Stop at the Rift Valley escarpment viewpoint
on the way for a last look across the valley. Arrive Nairobi by early
afternoon. Drop-off at hotel or JKIA. End of safari services.
